Description
This Is A CLOSEDDDDDD Species. You may not make one unless you are a co-owner or there is MYO contest.
EDIT: A few changes will be made to the species. First, the pre-possession forms will be more whispy and see-through. They will be a sold color. (for adopts, I will update your adopt later uwu) I also want to remind you that the personality shown is only a suggestion! Not all of them will be anywhere near that! That's just how most of them are in some way.
I also want to announce a new class, the wanderers. They are currently a WIP, but basically they do not permanently possess an object, but instead wander from item to item. They travel from place to place through the dream dimension. If they possess something that will give them powers, say, wings, they keep that trait until the item has broken or they moved overseas from the item. Smarter ones will take items like that with them. They also have the ability to possess living things, though a select few Average Dream Thieves can do this too.

Life Span: 20 years
Gender Ratio: 50/50
Max Height: 12 inches (adult)
Minimum Height: depends on age, adult is 6 inches
Diet: Nightmares (sometimes), and fruit.
Habitat: They live in human houses, or at least anywhere there are humans.
Life Cycle:
They are born as a little ball of smoke when a human has three nightmares in row. Over a few days, the smoke slowly forms into a Dream Knight baby, which CAN see and hear when born. It lacks the ability of speech though. At this age, they simply form a force-field (weak) around themselves and tackle the bad dreams. They cannot possess items, so they hide in shadows. (2-4 inches tall)
They grow up at the age of 5, and instead of warding off dreams for about a week, they begin to look for a weapon. They will use any household items that can be used to fight. Once they have formed the weapon, they must find a friend to help them enchant the weapon so they can turn it into smoke when they sleep during the daytime. They will then find an item to possess during the daytime. The item they possess determines their color scheme.(6-12 inches tall)
:bulletaqua: Once they reach the age of 15, they can find a mate. The smoke from their lantern combines and splits into 3-5 little smoke balls, which grow into the baby forms. This is the age where their movements slow and they most likely retire, leaving their job to a younger dream knight.
At the age of 20, They slowly fade away and vanish forever.
-personality: very loyal to befreinded humans and other small creatures, like mice. They love to joke around, but are very gullible. Pranks upset them greatly. When upset, their ears droop and they make puppy faces. They follow orders given by a higher ranking (unnamed), and absolutely love sweets. They're very playful but can be very serious if needed. They will become very sad when one of them vanishes, but they will move on after a few days.
Some days, they attack every dream that approauches a human, and other days they kill only nightmares. Some days, they kill none. It depends on thier moods.
weak to: Larger creatures, very bright lights, are very attracted to shiny things (easy to trap sometimes), They are all terrified of cats
Silky fur. Greedy humans will try to capture them for the rareness of their fur.
if a human befriends one instead of trapping it, they will have good dreams for the rest of their life, and will have three days where everything will go well
a whispy collor around their neck appears if befriended properly. They can tell if a human is being greedy or nice
Customization Options:
Head:
-Ears can be other animal's ears. (cat, bunny)
-Ears can be droopy
-They can have no ears, or extra ears. (On Head only)
-Eyes can be pupil-less
-They can have a different animal's eyes (goat, cat)
-oddly shaped pupils (star, triangle)
-Extra eyes or no eyes
Decoration:
-Wings/fins (Rare)
-feathers/accessories (they can find doll clothes or make their own out of household objects) (Common)
-plants growing (Rare)
-spikes (Uncommon)
-Extra Fluff (Common)
-Other animals (Turtle shells, spines, etc) (rare)
Tail:
their tail can be anything, but it will be made out of smoke. Non-smoke tails are rare.
Collars:
If befriended by a human, they will grow a whispy collar around their neck.
COLORS:
They will have mainly the color of an item they possess as an adult, but the little ones will be one solid color with a simple pattern overtop of it.
Patterns: Some are just a simple base color until they grow up and choose an item. Most of the time, though, they will have a simple, one color pattern over the white.

Custom prices:
20 points for an entirely common baby.
+5 for each uncommon trait

Grow it up by drawing it 10 times! Then you can decide its item and stuff!
